FM Spokesman Dismisses Argentine Prosecutor's Charge Against Iran

TEHRAN Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mahmoud Mohammadi on Tuesday dismissed as baseless the charge raised by Argentine Prosecutor Eamon Mullen that Iranian cultural attache had been involved in bombing of a Jewish center in Buenos Aires in 1994. He said the Zionist circles in Argentine have attributed the bombing to Iran in an attempt to cover up the opposition of the Argentine people to the influence of the Zionists on their country.

He said the Argentine officials had already charged four Argentine policemen with the bombing. Arresting the four argentine policemen showed that terrorism is an internal phenomenon in Argentina and attributing it to a foreign country is a step to escape from the truth, Mohammadi said. (IRNA)
